Best Books of Spring – San Francisco Book Fest Picks TellTale Souls

Click cover, if you want the book.

I just received notice that TellTale Souls Writing the Mother Memoir: How to Tap Memory and Write Your Story Capturing Character & Spirit was picked a winner in the San Francisco Book Festival “Best Books of the Spring” competition in the How-To category!  They say it was a tough competition that attracted entries from around the globe.

What more can I say? I’m absolutely thrilled about this honor!

Well, The Story Woman has this to say, “When you write your very own short, true story about your mother or someone who made you feel like a daughter or a son—you’ll be thrilled, too!”

Teresa, thank you for your beautiful comments on TellTale Souls Writing the Mother Memoir. It truly is all about the dazzling spirits who write the short, true stories. Many of them have never written a story before dipping their toes in soulful waters to write from their hearts — they come away as master swimmers!

Congratulations! Well deserved honor. I agaree with Teresa – your passion drives your book into success. I gave it as Mother’s Day gifts to several special moms, and they were thrilled. Wonderful book, wonderful author you are.

Thank you, Pam, for giving TellTale Souls Writing the Mother Memoir to your special moms – I’d love to know more about them. You’re luck to have more than one! And I hope your special moms follow the prompts and exercises in the book and become inspired by the stories so they will write their own Mother Memoirs – that’s what it’s all about!

I also want to say Congratulations and thank you so very much. I can’t tell you how this book is so timely. Everyone I know has someone that has Alzheimers. My Mother-in-Law has it now and we are just beginning to see signs. Even her disposition has totally changed. I am so thankful that you wrote this and that your are sharing.

You are so welcome, Dolly! I hope you like the book, and that you’ll write a story or two and/or encourage people you know to write a short memoir capturing the character and spirit of their mothers and others. It is important work, as you’ll see when you take the journey into writing the Mother Memoir. Thank you for taking the time to share you words with me.
    Keeping Spirits Alive,
    Lynn
