Submit NON-FICTION “Mother” Story Guidelines

For publication of your story on TellTale Souls’ (TTS) website or blog or possible inclusion in a future book, please follow these guidelines. Please also use these guidelines for submission when we have a contest running.

Look over the TTS site carefully and you will gain insight into what we would like to see in your story. Need help? We suggest ordering  Give the Gift of Story: TellTale Souls’ Essential Guide to Tap Memory and Write Memoir in Five Acts, a creative exploration, including examples, to get your juices flowing on your path to writing your story, your bio-vignette.

Ask yourself this question,  “If I could tell just one small story that would capture the essence of my mother’s character for all eternity what would it be?”  Now answer that question by writing your story and become a TellTale Soul.

We accept stories by women and men of all ages.

Your Story Specifications:

·            Original, non-fiction (and not previously published)

·            Use plain 12-point font

·            Story length from 300 to 1500 words

·            Include a brief Author Bio of 25-50 words about you – very important that you add  

              your e-mail address and phone number here again so that we can easily communicate  with you

·            Optional: Include a picture pertaining to your story in pdf format only

·            Send each story only one time

At this time, we do not pay for submissions, we are not responsible for any material you send, and you will be notified only if your story is chosen for the site.
